Certification Requirements

To become an NCSF Certified Personal Trainer, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass the NCSF Certification Exam


CPR/AED Certification:

Not required to enroll or take the exam, but strongly recommended before working with clients. CPR certification is required for recertification every two years.


Program Duration

  • Fast-track: 4 weeks
  • Average completion: 2–3 months in the account
  • Maximum access: 6 months
  • Estimated study time in the account: 80–120 hours
  • 10 Lectures In person training
  • 4 hours per lecture.


After Certification

Upon passing the exam, you will receive:

  • Continuing Education Unit (CEU) information
  • Certification package delivered within two weeks


Certification Renewal

  • Valid for 2 years
  • Requires 10 NCSF CEUs for renewal
